Verndale Announces Excellence Program's Gold Winners
Feb 09, 2022
Verndale is pleased to announce the gold winners of its Excellence Program for 2021. Verndale’s Excellence Program acknowledges the accomplishments of staff who have exceeded expectations by continuously expanding and sharing their knowledge and engaging with others to build our community. Over the past year, the following individuals have achieved “Gold” level, the highest recognition within the Excellence Program.
Jorge Cardenas has been working at Verndale as a senior developer for 4 years. He has specialized in Optimizely (Episerver), in which he holds an MVP nomination. His focus over the past year has been on optimizing the performance of the platform for clients and helping other developers expand their platform knowledge. Jorge shared his Optimizely knowledge in a blog post, attended many trainings to stay on top of the latest platform improvements, competed in a hackathon, and helped his teammates on projects to improve internal operations. “It was not easy but was definitely worth the effort,” said Jorge, “I learned a lot and I was able to blog that knowledge for anyone interested.”
Hetal Dave is a solution architect on Verndale’s commerce team. She dedicated herself to spending extra time each day on professional development that focused specifically on learning new technologies. Hetal shared what she learned with colleagues, as well on LinkedIn and at Sitecore User Groups. She also attended Optimizely Happy Hours, Coveo Developer Hours, Sitecore MVP Webinars, and Sitecore MVP lunches and provided support to Verndale’s sales team. Hetal Dave said, “This program has given me the boost to keep learning and doing what I can to be a better professional, a better leader and a better member of the community.”
Paola De La Torre started off 2021 as a Senior QA Engineer. However, with Verndale’s growing Salesforce practice, she was presented an opportunity to join Verndale’s Salesforce team. She obtained her Salesforce Administrator Certification and two Super Badges, attended webinars, wrote blog posts, presented in internal knowledge shares, and mentored teammates. Paola also organized outdoor activities for her colleagues to participate in together, including hiking and biking. “I think this is a great program that has helped me to go above and beyond, to grow professionally and to be up to date in every new release the platform I use offers - all of these in order to help add value to my projects and my teammates,” said Paola.
“Verndale’s Excellence Program winners, especially the gold winners, went above and beyond in 2021,” said Liz Spranzani, Verndale’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), “We were incredibly impressed with their hard work and dedication, the results of which can be seen in the quality of work for our clients, as well as the growth of Verndale.”
